'Tis the season to be jolly and there
are plenty of activities for doing so
in December. The community comes
alive with the spirit of the season, with
open house events and activities such
as the Athens Symphony Orchestra's
annual Christmas concert (see p. 4).
In
January, the State Botanical Garden of
Georgia will host Twilight Toasts in the
Garden. Focusing on tropical orchids,
this event (see p. 19) offers a warm, lush
environment on a chilly winter evening.
Whether you're visiting family and
friends over the holidays or a year-round
resident, Athens is filled with things to
do - from art galleries and live music to
